Our 2-year workmanship guarantee

What's covered

• Peeling, flaking or lifting caused by inadequate preparation, priming or application on our part.
• Cracking, crazing or bubbling in a paint film we've applied that isn't attributable to substrate movement or damp.
• Colour or sheen variation between coats or between sections that were meant to be uniform.
• Runs, sags, brush marks or roller texture that a client would reasonably consider a defect.
• Adhesion failure on woodwork, walls or ceilings where the substrate was sound at the time of works.

What isn't covered

We're honest about the limits. A guarantee that promised everything wouldn't mean anything, so the following sit outside our workmanship cover:

• Damage caused by damp, leaks, condensation, structural movement or subsequent building works.
• Scuffs, chips, marks and impact damage caused by normal use, furniture, pets, cleaning or tenants.
• Failure caused by the client's choice of paint or specification where we've formally advised against it in writing.
• Natural fading of dark or highly pigmented colours over multiple years in direct sunlight.
• Exterior finishes on substrates we've flagged as unsuitable (e.g. crumbling render or rotten timber the client asked us not to repair).

How to make a claim

1. Email info@londonpropainters.co.uk with a photo of the issue and the invoice reference.
2. We respond within one working day to arrange a site visit — usually within the same week.
3. If the defect is covered, we schedule the remedial visit within 14 days at no cost to you.
4. If it's outside the guarantee, we'll tell you plainly and give you a fair quote to fix it.
